Some of the numerous similarities between Christianity and Zoroastrianism include:
Christianity worships the Abrahamic God; Zoroastrianism worships Ahura Mazda.
In each case, God or Ahura Mazda created the world.
Ahuramazda has a Holy Spirit that sometimes seems to be him and at other times seems to be independent. The Holy Spirit of Christianity has the same characteristics.
Christianity has Jesus who was born of a virgin and will return at the end of time to defeat evil and establish his kingdom; Zoroastrianism says that the Saoshyant or saviour will be born of a virgin and will lead humanity in the last battle against evil.
The Christian Satan parallels the Zoroastrian Ahriman or Angra Mainyu.
Christianity has seven archangels; Zoroastrianism has seven Amesha Spenta.

There are many similarities between Christianity and Zoroastrianism, but also some differences.Christians believe in God, whereas followers of Zoroastrianism believe in Ahura Mazda .In Christianity, Jesus has already come, born of a virgin. In Zoroastrianism, the Saoshyant is yet to come, and will be born of a virgin. Both will fight evil at the end times.Fire is sacred in Zoroastrianism, but not in Christianity. Orthodox followers of Zoroastrianism prefer neither to bury their dead in the sacred ground, nor cremate them.

Some essay topics about religion are "What are the similarities and differences between Christianity and Judaism", "Does god really exist", and "Is there an afterlife".
I think this is just too big a question for me. I will say that within each of these traditions there isn't one simple explanation to compare with the simple explanations in the other traditions.

There are major differences between the Christian God and Ahura-Mazda, the supreme being of Zoroastrianism. The latter is not all powerful and is on a par with Angra-Mainyu, the evil spirit. In Christianity, God is all powerful and all good and Satan is limited in power and all evil. Ahura Mazda is aloof, while the Christian God is approachable and loving. Christianity offers an answer to sin, while Zoroastrianism does not. Zoroastrianism also involves occult practices which are not acceptable in Christianity
Some religions are based on reward alone, while others, such as Zoroastrianism, Christianity and Islam, offer a choice between pleasure (heaven) and damnation (hell). The possibility of hell introduces the element of fear and has been useful in managing the faithful.
one of the similarities they have is that they both farm and hunt
Some scholars, including Mary Boyce, Professor Emerita of Iranian Studies at University of London, conclude that Zoroastrianism began in southern Russia, the area from the Iranian people of today emigrated. Others say that Zoroastrianism may have originated in central Asia, perhaps in Afghanistan. I find the southern Russia origin more persuasive, not only because the Iranian people originated there, and therefore could have brought the religion with them into eastern Iran, but because of similarities between Zoroastrianism and Hinduism, which could also have originated in southern Russia. Zoroastrianism did not reach the Medes and Persians of western Iran until around the eighth century BCE, leading some to believe that the religion originated there.
