We probably cannot reduce global warming, but we should be able to reduce the RATE of global warming, if we focus on certain primary goals. First would be to reduce our consumption of fossil fuel. In 1700 the concentration of atmospheric CO2 was 280 parts per million. By 1900 (two centuries) it had risen to 290 parts per million. That is only ten parts per million over two hundred (200) years. Currently we are raising CO2 levels that much every decade (10 years), and will exceed 400 ppm in four short years (by 2016). At the current rate of consumption we will break 500 ppm before 2050.
The changes that will result are irreversible, but it serves our best interest to slow down the rate of change, to give earth more time to adapt to the new conditions.
Control is not possible. It may be possible to slow the rate of global warming by cutting the amount of greenhouse gases we add to the atmosphere. Solar PV panels are reducing in price and improving their quality so quickly that it is now almost possible to stop burning coal for electricity generation.
You can help save the enviorment by using the three "R's" Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
pollution and Global Warming
Volcanic eruptions can reduce global warming for a short time by blocking and reflecting the sun's heat with their dust and ash.
carbon dioxide
Planting trees will reduce the effect of global warming, but it has little to do with ozone depletion.
Low-energy light bulbs are a guaranteed way to help the global warming issue, like fluorescent bulbs or LED bulbs.
They do not have any affect on global warming.
There are 3 R's of global warming. These are Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
Plants don't increase global warming. In fact, they do the opposite.Plants, trees and all vegetation reduce the effect of global warming by removing from the atmosphere these gases like carbon dioxide and storing the carbon in their trunks and branches. They help to reduce global warming.
Driving a large car, indeed any car, will not reduce global warming, unless it's powered by renewable electricity.Leaving your computer running all night will not reduce global warming.Building a coal-fired power plant with no way of capturing carbon dioxide emissions will not reduce global warming.
i know that recycling paper could reduce pollution not global warming but the important thing is that it could save the planet

The Kyoto Protocol (also called Kyoto Accord) is an agreement signed by 193 nations to help reduce global warming.
reduce global warming. because of the heat caused by global warming the polar regions are melting.
Turtles can do nothing to either reduce or increase global warming. They are helpless pawns waiting for us to stop it. Will we help them?
Depends how much you want to reduce burning of coal and gas, in order to control global warming.
Yes, it can. Geothermal Energy will reduce man's dependence on Fossil Fuels, which create carbon dioxide, indirectly reducing global warming.
