In Christianity, people are believed to be composed of body and soul. Caring for the needs of the soul (or spirit) means encouraging and nurturing people's relationship with God. If one does this, it is very possible that to some small, small degree or hopefully a greater degree we may come to have a greater acceptance of our physical situation.
