What are the Christian beliefs about Jesus?
Most christians beliefs on Jesus are that he was the messiah, he was sent to take away our sin, that he ascended into heaven on the third day after his death on the cross, he is the son of God , and the he will return in a second coming before Armagedeon to bring his followers into heaven to join him at the holy banquet he has set. Although most christins believe this to to be true other denominations believe certain parts of this to be true and false. Like Jews believe that God does exist and Jesus live but Jesus was nothing more than a great prophet.
Barack Obama is a Christian and his beliefs would very much accord with that description. This is what he has said: In an interview with the evangelical periodical Christianity Today, Obama stated: "I am a Christian, and I am a devout Christian. I believe in the redemptive death and resurrection of Jesus Christ."
Well it says that King led the Southern Christian Leadership Conference until his death. This makes me believe that King did believe in Christ. I think his christian beliefs effected his life by wanting to stop racism because there is a song that has the lyrics " red, yelow, black, and white jesus loves the children of the world." This song states that no matter what color or race you are Jesus loves you.
Here is John 11.14: Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. The Christian beliefs about this passage are plainly that it is simple and says what it means - that Jesus had answered his disciples when they asked about Lazarus, that he slept. But when they questioned him further, he told them plainly: Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought…
Christian beliefs consist of moral and ethical values that venerate spirituality and a personal relationship with God through the example that Jesus Christ laid out for his followers. The culmination of these beliefs defines doctrines as perceived by the different denominations, though no two members within a denomination may completely hold true to each other's views.
This question is very simple. I put my belief in practice by getting a clear understanding of the Bible. In order to out your beliefs into practice, follow those who taught your beliefs. For example, if you are a Christian, ask yourself "What would Jesus do in this situation?" and then follow what the Bible teaches.
According to Catholic beliefs what are some of the challenges to the Christian belief that Jesus Christ was both human and divine?
First answer: Jesus is not Christian. He is a Jew. ------ Second answer: Jesus did not become a Christian. Jesus was a Jew. Jesus Christ is the person whom the Christian faith is based on. Yes. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior and that the Bible is the Word of God. They strive to follow the example and commandments of Jesus Christ. Because of this, they are Christian. However, they are not Protestant or Catholic Christians. They are Restorationist Christians - believing that they are the restoration of the first-century Christian Church established by Jesus Christ…
That catholic mormen and Christian are basically the same thing except for that they have different beliefs?
Well if they have different beliefs they aren't basically the same thing, right? Catholics, Mormons, and Protestant Christians do all consider themselves Christian and do all believe in Jesus Christ and in the Bible, but often their similarities stop there. The way they interpret the Bible, what they believe about who Jesus Christ is, and they way they worship, are completely different from each other.
The majority of religions believe in Jesus Christ, but have different beliefs about him. Mormon and Jehovah Witness have around the same basic beliefs of Jesus. Jewish, Christian, and Catholic have the same basic principles as well. Buddhism does not have a god, it believes in a path to enlightenment. Muslim, or Islamic, believe in Jesus, but only as a prophet. Their god is Mohammad.
