∙ 18y agoA Satellite Television system has many benefits and is ideal for many types of people. Some of the advantages are: * People in remote areas can get satellite television even if they are not able to receive cable services. * The picture provided by satellite is far sharper than either cable or off air broadcast. * People who are the technical types and like fixing their own things will love satellite television. * It provides digital information and text services. * Satellite television gives you access to channels and programs that can never be offered through cable. * It gives you news coverage which is live and unedited so you don

∙ 13y agoI am slightly switched towards Sky TV itself, more than Cable - simply because there is a wider choice of channels, better customer services when you need them, and the cost is pretty much the same.
Sky TV all the way to be honest, and if considering Cable, look at it like this and you might see the reasoning to opt for satellite rather than cable... 37 HD transmissions on Sky TV, and only about 6 on cable.
Hope this helps.

∙ 11y agoSatellite communication systems are very dependable due to the unlikelyhood of an interruption of the flow of energized communication when compared to other systems, notably terristial radio. Satellite communication systems can be interrupted at those frequencies where rain drops are near the size (length) of the wavelength of the RF, but otherwise clouds nor darkness interfere. Too, the satellite systems must be in line of sight from the ground station and the satellite (unless the one satellite can relay to another distant satellite in a chain of two or more to move the communication beyond line of sight and around the globe). The receive station must be in line of sight of the satellite, too, but not in line with the sending station. Further, the bandwidth is generally greater than most other systems.
Terrestial radio systems that wish to perform beyond the horizon are unreliable due to the changes in the height of the ionosphere, all kinds of radio noise, and variations in RF power and antenna productivity. Due to shared use of the radio spectrum, radio bandwidth is limited compared to satellite systems.
Wire communication systems are only very effective when the wire is continuous between the sender and receiver (not cut) and if the electric power in the wire is great enough to travel by wire over expected distances. Amplifiers can be used to relay a weak wire signal, amplify it, and send it on down the wire. Like ordinary LF, HF, and VHF radio, wires are subseptiable to lighting noise and actual damage, too. Wire has limited bandwidth, but fiber optic systems equal or exceed satellites in bandwidth.
Signal flags (semiphore) and manual waving, flashing lights in Morse Code, yelling by amplified or natural voice, drums and other natural (non electrical) methods are also useful in communication over distances, but have their obvious limitations.

Media that is unguided has no connections, wires, or joined devices. This includes infrared, micro, radio, and even satellite waves.

Transmission Media
Guided Media : Guided Transmission Media uses a "cabling" system that guides the data signals along a specific path. The data signals are bound by the "cabling" system. Guided Media is also known as Bound Media Unguided Transmission Media consists of a means for the data signals to travel but nothing to guide them along a specific path. In a guided medium signal passes through a physical pathway(s),while in an unguided medium signal passes through a vacuum, it is independent of a physical pathway.

i want to know about the advantages and disadvantages of the satellite in banking
The advantages of transmission media are it is easy to terminate, cheap cost of installation, and the high installed base. The disadvantages are the noise, they cover less distance, and may suffer interference.

Well what is the disadvantages of advantages of Mass Media? Being a student I feel that I have no disadvantages on Mass Media. I feel that it has only advantages and some people take some advantages wrong as disadvantages.Without media world will be no where today

This media allows you to see and hear the information, making it easier to retain. The disadvantages are that it takes longer to produce.
