You might be referring to the royal group called the Volturi (Aro, Alec, Jane, Caius, Marcus, Felix, Demetri, & Heidi)
Other wise you'd be talking about the vampires James, Laurent, and Victoria. They're just called bad vampires.

James makes an appearance in the first book, attempting to kill Bella. His senses are extra acute, making him able to track Bella down where ever she runs to. He later dies in the first book by Edward's hand, but Laurent and Victoria return in the later books for revenge.
James was Victoria's "mate", or lover, so she desired revenge the most out of the two of them. Like other vampires, she has a special ability: escaping. Her power to get out of being cornered makes her capture very difficult for the Cullens and Quileutes in the saga. Laurent had no special power, and was part of the nomadic trio due to James, but he shows loyalty to Victoria in the second book which causes more confrontations and dangers to Bella later on in the story.

Charlie's weakness is being human and being Bella's dad because she is always bringing vampires home :) Victoria's weakness is James and James weakness is loosing his mate. James really didn't love Victoria as much a she loves him. Laurant is the loner his weakness is not having a "super-power." The vampires that live like the Cullens all have the weakness of not having human blood, but by not having human blood is how Bella and Edward ended up together. The main weakness in Twilight characters is either love, not having a "super-power," and beign human.
