It can only occur between a male and a female who are married to each other. Any form of pleasuring one another is allowed except anal penetration (man sticks his penis into the woman's anus). The other thing which is forbidden is for them to have sexual intercourse while the woman is menstruating (on her period). It is makruh (disliked) for a man to withdraw his penis from the female - she is also entitled to pleasure. And that's it. In Islam, sex, like everything has it's time and place. It is a private thing that takes place between a man and his wife and it is a natural thing so it is no problem asking an imam or a sheikh about what is forbidden and what is allowed.
