Some of the Pokemon i list might be Ruby exclusive but if i do please correct me

the most important part is taking out the elite four so you should have types that are effective against them

Elite four

Drake: Dragon Ice Type Pokemon

Phoebe: Ghost/Dark Not sure on this one

Glacia: Ice thunder

Sydney(i think that's his name): Dark Fighting

Champion Steven: Etc. All types Any

however i cant tell you exactly which to get because some are tricky if you used a fire against glacia she would get you back with walrein which is a water type so your best move for ice would be thunder type Manectric, Electrode, Magneton

Dragon is effective against dragon so that's risky i wouldn't reccommend getting ice because its not very effective against much besides dragon and rock he can also get tricky because flygon is a ground type aswell so it will be hard to take down with just ice

Sydney is the easiest of all elite four no problem here

Phoebe since ghost is effective against ghost you'll have trouble here so you could use a fighting type against her Pokemon such as her 2 dusclops and Banette

steven you will have to rely on strong moves and the strength of your Pokemon

In conclusion:

since you could get a water type kyogre i would'NT get swampert even if he is a major powerhouse you cant have 2 of the same type here

for fighting i would choose blaziken he could be a vital part in taking out sydney and glacia

for some of Stevens rock types cradily and armaldo blaziken could take them out aswell but he is weak against rock and water aramldo water and rock i would get manectric to defeat glacia and drake aswell to take out walrein who could easily take out blazinken

for flying type a must have you could choose swellow a better choice then pelliper

4 Pokemon already the rest would be up to you but blaziken kyogre and manectric could be good and a vital teamates blaziken could easily defeat glacia and sydeny aswell with the help of manectric manectric could help in defeating drake as for kyogre could help with steven you mitght also want to get an ice type to defeat drake i'de have to say Glalie and your last could be anything
