Cold Fronts: occurs when a cold air mass takes over a warm air mass, cold air is denser than warm air so the cold air mass causes the warm air mass to rise quickly, has a steep slope, causes cumulus & cumulonimbus clouds, causes strong winds, severe thunderstorms, causes precipitation, & moves quickly & happens in a short time.

Warm fronts: occurs when a warm air mass overtakes a cold air mass, has a gentle slope, the warm air grdually moves over the cold air, causes stratus clouds, steady rain, & sometimes causes heavy showers & thunderstorms.

Stationary fronts: when 2 different air masses form a boundary but neither is moving & causes clouds & heavy rain or snow for several days.

Occluded fronts: occurs when a warm air mass is caught between 2 air masses, the cold air causes the warm air to rise, & the warm air cools as it rises causing the water vapor to condense wich leads to cloudy skies & precipitation.
