Jamaica is in the tropical therfore it would always be warmer.Th climate in Jamaica is consistent while in Pei they have a winter and temperatures drop.Pei total annual precipitation is 1073,2 mm while Jamaica is 909.7mm
The most obvious similarity is that they are both islands, this is the most visible similarity between the two. Jamaica is a tropical island in the warm Caribbean and an independent country. Prince Edward Island is a cool temperate island in the Atlantic and a province of Canada. Both of the island's official language is English, but Most Jamaicans speak in the dialect patois, which is a mix of traditional English, African, French and Spanish terms. Both have red soil in places: Jamaica because it has bauxite (from which we receive from aluminum); and P.E.I because it has iron.
-Jamaica has higher elevation (it has a lot of mountains) while PEI is flat.
-Jamaica is hotter year round than PEI.
-They harvest different things.
-Jamaica is 10km longer from tip to tip than PEI
Similarities:
The main language is English
similar wind patterns
both have commercial agriculture
Differences:
PEI is a province but Jamaica is a country
Jamaica has less precipitation while PEI has more
PEI has lower elevation than Jamaica
The vegetation is different
Different longitude and latitude
one hour time zone difference
Jamaica is longer from tip to tip
Jamaica's in the carribean ocean while PEI's in the Atlantic
