The difference between Christianity and the Rastafari religion is that the Rastafari is an Afrocentric group that started in Jamica and believe that Christianity corrupted some of The Bible interpretations and its meanings. They also consider the "Western Culture" as "Babylon" spoken of in the Bible in Revelation.
On the other hand, some if not all Rastafari believed that the Emperor of Ethiopia, Ras Tafari Makonnen, named Haile Selassie was the incarnation of whom they cal Jah. Which most Christians reject.
But in essence the Rastafari religion was started by Marcus Garvey, who was a Trinitarian Christian and a Free Methodist. He basically started another Christian denomination that empowered the black slaves.
