What are the differences between dystrophic and metastatic calcification?

dystrophic calcification means deposition of ca salt

inassociation with mild concentration of other minerals such as

megnesium of any necrotic or degenerated area what ever the type of

necrosisand occurs inspite of normal serum calcium and normal

calcium metabolism and it usually starts in mitochondria

while metastatic calcification charechtrized by wide spread

calcium deposition in normal and abnormal tissue every where in the

body due to high serum calcium level
