There are no subtypes of OCD, but OCD can manifest in dif. ways...
Ppl with OCD fall into categories such as: checkers (obsessively checking to ensure everything is in order), counters, savers (saving unneeded things that are no longer useful), etc.
i have a form of ocd where i need to have things in the exact order that i place them. And i become extremely obsessive over anything i get into. Like for the past few years Ive had this thing for a band called Paramore. I never stop talking about them "darnit I'm doing it again". I have a ton of posters in my room and if they're not perfect ill spend 17 hours trying to get them right and I'm constantly counting. stairs, tiles, cracks, people. it gets annoying but i cant stop. I'm not a clean freak tho so hooray for that!
same person from above i have tourettes and ADHD too my tweaks are full body twitches when im excited
Seperate answer:
My younger brother suffers from tourettes syndrome, ADHD and ODC. His OCDs are:
He hates it when people breathe on him.
He doesnt like feet.
Because of the foot phobia, he has resulted to walking around the sides of the house to avoid contact with the floor where feet have been. But he's over that now :)
My OCDs are:
I hate people singing the same song over and over again
I hate crunching apples in my ear.
when, i was younger i used to have to do the same amount of things on one side as the other. I used to walk on the metal drains when i was younger and count them
OCD is not something to be ashamed of though, many people have it and it can't be helped but there are ways of getting round it so think positive!!! :) x
My OCD's are:
I have to have all of the light switches in one set facing up or down.
I don't like stepping on cracks on a street or sidewalk.
I often get scary images stuck in my head causing me to have trouble sleeping.
I hate speaking or acting in public because I fear of making a mistake.
I have to have everything evened out or symmetrical.
When I'm in a room full of people, animals, objects, etc., I have to count how many there are. When count them, I often fear I messed up, so I count three or four times to be sure.
OCD is different for everybody. Some people become very afraid of germs and cannot touch anything that has been 'infected' and have to wash their hands a lot, others find themselves stuck in patterns like tapping on tables and counting. However, there is not really medical definition for different types of OCD
It is Obsessive compulsive disorder, It can be a germ freak, you can hear bad words in your head those ar what I have there is more look it up
The names for the acronym, OCD, are Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
