Singapore Airlines has been voted as the BEST airline (world wide) on a number of occassions for service, value and comfort. As such, I would imagine their economy class seating on the 777 would be as good (or better) than on their 747's.
Airlines divide the seats on a plane into economy class seats, business class seats and first class seats (although there are some economy class only airlines like Kulula, 1time and Mango airline - this is especially common on low-cost carriers)
Although the maximum number of seats in a one-class configuration is 156, common airlines which use this aircraft configure it like this; British Airways (2-class, European) : 126 seats - 48 business + 78 economy. Air Berlin (1-class) : 144 economy seats. Easyjet (1-class) : 156 economy seats.

The seating for the A320 for US airlines is; 2-2 for Buisness class 3-3 for Economy class Economy Class has 2 center exit rows, typically seats in the first exit row do not recline. Bathrooms are in the rear of the airplane. Avoid these seats because fliers line up back here.
Singapore Airlines can get you to Christchurch in under 24hrs with one stop of an hour in Singapore, works out something like 23 hrs 35minutes
No. To my knowledge, no airline has an actual weight restriction on passengers. But if you've ever been on an airplane, you know that the seats (in Economy) are very small. Anyone that's not skinny is going to be uncomfortable, and if you're a "large" (extra heavy, overweight, chubby, big) person, you simply will not fit. American Airlines, like most airlines, leaves it up to you to realize this, and to purchase additional seats if you think you'll need them. They're not going to ask you how heavy you are, or wide you are, or make rules about that. But if you get on the plane, having purchased only one seat, and discover then and there that your body actually requires the width of three seats, then .. well .. you get the picture. Save yourself an embarrassing situation by calling and asking this question if you know you're an "extra large" person. American Airlines requires that you purchase each seat that you'll need. If you need 2 seats, you pay for 2 seats. If you need 3 seats, you pay for 3 seats. So, it can be more expensive for a large person to travel.
Singapore Airlines is definently one of the better ones. Singapore Airlines is part of the Airline group called the "Star Alliance." The Star Alliance is BY FAR the best Airline group in the world. You wouldn't go wrong with taking any of the airlines in Star Alliance since they are all the best. I would personally recommend Lufthansa as the best, but also Singapore and Emirates as very good also.
Asiana Airlines is located in Asia. There are companies in Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Singapore, Beijing, Philipines, Honduras Islands, America, and elsewhere. It is basically like any other airlines, except that it does travel through Asia a lot.
Singapore has no natural resources to begin with, and the country see great opportunity in tourism sector, as it contributes towards Singapore's economy greatly, as much as more than 20% income for Singapore are earned from tourism sector.
