It depends on how long you have had the bacteria in your body, if left untreated - it can involve the nervous system, cardiovascular, your vision and hearing...or can even lead to death. for more information on STD, visit the CDC website.

If syphilis is not treated, it can cause serious effects such as damage to the heart, aorta, brain, eyes and bones.
if I'm not mistaken it causes significant neurological damage if it goes untreated long enough. basically it can give you brain damage. it causes painless blister like sores and besides that i think I've heard somewhere that it can cause mild damage to body systems through the damaging of neurons
Left untreated, the consequences are serious. It can lead to death.
It will eventually kill you, but it is a bacterial infection-so it can be easily treated with antibiotics.
You first must go to the doctor and be tested. If the test is positive, the doctor will give you antibiotics to get rid of the infection. If you can not afford to go to the doctor, and have no insurance, go to your local health department.
If left untreated, syphilis can damage the heart, aorta, brain, eyes, and bones. In some cases these effects can be fatal.
