What are the ethnic groups that are prominent in France?
Celtic and Latin with Teutonic, Slavic, North African, Indochinese, and Basque minorities are prominent in France.

The Kurds (an ethnic group) and the Shiite Arabs (a religious group) were the most prominent of Saddam Hussein's ethnic/religious adversaries, but many smaller groups like the Marsh Arabs, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Turcomans (Iraqi Turkmen), the Jews, the Yazidis, Catholics, etc. were also targeted by Saddam Hussein.
Ethnic groups in the Philippines can be grouped into indigenous ethnic groups and non-indigenous ethnic groups. The indigenous ethnic groups include the Bicolanos, Ibanag, Ilocano, Ivatan, Kapampangan, Moro, Pangasinense, Sambal, Tagalog, Visayan and tribal groups such as the Badjaos, Igorot, Ilongots, Lumad, Mangyan, Negrito groups and the Palawan tribes. The non-indigenous ethnic groups include the Chinese, Spanish, American, Arab, Indian, Japanese, Jewish, Korean, Mexican and other ethnic groups.
France is a diverse country with many different ethnic groups. But those "native" to France are descendants of the Gauls and Franks, hence where the name "French" comes from, as well as other peoples. So it could be said that French people are a mixture of different European groups. However, a lot of French natives consider their ethnicity to be "French"
There are two major ethnic groups making up the French people. On the one hand is the Gallo-Romans that lived in the Roman province of Gaul, and on the other hand the Franks, a Germanic ethnic group that arrived during the great migrations of 400-800 AD. Other ethic groups include Iberians, chiefly in the south-west of France, and Normans, Norse people who settled present day Normandy in the 10th century.
