Hsiao: love within the family. Love of parents for their children and of children for their parents

Yi: righteousness

Xin: honesty and trustworthiness

Jen: benevolence, humaneness towards others. The highest Confucian virtue

Chung: loyalty to the state.

Confucianism began more than 2,500 years ago in china. The temple at Qufu is a roup of buildings dedicated to Confucius. It is located on Confucius's ancestral land. It is one of the largest ancient architectural complexes in China. every year followers gather at Qufu to celebrate the birthday of Confucius. The symbol is the yin-yang sign. The white is yin (light, bright, cheerful) black is yang (mysteriouse) the two act together to balance one another.
