The skeletal muscle system has performs three jobs. Firstly and mopst obviously it bontracts to move the bones and thus move the body. Secondly when it contracts it helps push the blood in the veins back towards the heart. The last job the skeletal muscle has is carried out by the diaphragm and is to draw air into the lungs. Or if you extend "the muscular system" to include all types of muscle you could say that heart muscle filfulls the job of pushing the blood in the arteries. You could also say that smoothe muscle fulfills the jobs like moving internal organs and changing the lumen of arteries.
n.
The bodily system that is composed of skeletal, muscular-system, and cardiac muscle tissue and functions in movement of the body or of materials through the body, maintenance of posture, and heat production.
There are 6: Produce heat (Temperature regulation); stabilize position; provide movement; regulates organ volume; moving substances withing the body Picking the three main ones is subjective to your topic of study. For example, if you are looking at functions vital for life (or the most frequently occuring) you might choose moving substances (assists in moving blood through veins toward the heart and lymph through the immune system), regulation of volume (intercostals and diaphragm are necessary to facilitate breathing), and temperature regulation (you shiver when you are cold so you can produce heat and avoid hypothermia). If you are interested in the three most widely known they would be provide movement, stabilize position, and produce heat. If you are filling out a worksheet for a homework assignment your teacher just wants three of the 6, pick any of them.
Movement and heat production (Through shivering)
The purpose of the muscle system is basically so you can move.
this is NOT a function of the muscular system: hematopoiesis
