The internal nares are used for the frog's sense of smell. their main purpose however is to take air from the nostril and send it to the mouth which can pull out the oxygen or send it to the lungs.

The nose of a frog serves the same function as noses on other animals: breathing. The frog's nose is positioned on top of the head so that it can breathe while submerging itself almost entirely in the water.
