they should come pregapped. you can mess up platinum plugs by gapping them. for all regular plugs though the gap is 0.040 inch for all 2000 tru 2003 durangos and dakotas except 4 cylinder engine gap for that one is 0.035 inch.
Chrysler recommends using Champion spark plugs and gapping at 0.35 (in thousandths of an inch).

you can bye a gapping tool at your local auto parts store and they should also be able to tell you the gap which your spark plugs should be set. this tool should only cost you no more then 3.00$
0.060 - at least from plugs Napa sells. Other plugs may have different gap or have preset gapping
I have a 2000 Chevy S10 Extreme - 4 Cyl. The spark plug gap is .040. Althought when purchased, the spark plugs are pregapped. Always double check the gap.
There are several different "Bosch" spark plugs that don't need to be gapped (actually gapping them will damage them) that are perfect for Ford Thunderbirds!!!
For the stock XP Iridium spark plugs the gapping is .051, I would suggest not changing the stock spark plugs until your warranty has expired. Mazda tried giving me crap for changing mine.
