"Actually the m1a1 Abrams is air tight to prevent leaks and fire damage so to keep the crew from suffocating the Abrams has air conditioning so despite the fact that its 125 degrees in Iraq our tank crews are siting in beautiful 62 degree weather" I can tell you were not a 19K Armor crewman. The abrams does not have air conditioning. Actually, during normal operations the inside of the tank will run a little hotter than the outside air temp. The previous answer was refering to the NBC (nuclear , biological, chemical) system. This system basicly cycles air through the engine to burn of particles, then cools that air and pumps it to the crew compartment via hoses at each station that the crew can attach to their gas mask.
Most ships are crewed by International crew members from all over the world. Thusly, there are rarely unions or any rights for workers. Each crew member has an emergency duty to carry out in such an emergency, including evacuation and abandon ship, if necessary. Surviving crew members will often be sent within days to another vessel within their fleet to complete their contracts, if they wish to continue employment with the company. In the unlikely event any crew members do not survive the event, the cruise line will likely contact the family members on record and make arrangements to transport remains (if any) and pay out any wages earned along with any insurance monies for senior crew members. Each fleet of ships will follow protocols outlined based on the laws of the country the ship sails under.
Each year, 10,000 service members leave some form of military service because of some kind of medical reason. Many of the service members are discharged from the armed service.
Usually there are as many pit crews in Formula One as the number of teams in the years racing calendar. Last year 2010 we had 12 teams and hence 12 pit crews. Each pit crew has more than 20 odd members and they all cater to the pit stop requirements of the 2 drivers of each team. This year 2011 too it would be the same.
The cemetery is administered by the Army. However, each branch of service sends their respective honour guards to perform services for members of their service who are being interned at Arlington.
So they can tell what part of the army or service they are in. They can recognize each other as members of the same service. Ranks and divisions are on the uniforms.

Don't you think each room--or cabin--would have its own restroom? Don't you think the crew members would have their own? You wouldn't need very many "public" restrooms.
