Airsoft law in California is in a confusing stage right now. It used to be legal, but California government is taking action as of recently to make them semi-illegal (meaning all Airsoft guns in Cali must be bright colors and so on). Try googling it. As for now, it is probably best to not purchase an Airsoft rifle.
No, airsoft guns are not firearms. As long as you keep and do not modify the orange tip you should not be in violation of any state laws.
Depends on your state's laws. Have you tried checking Texas's laws?

No, airsoft guns are not illegal in the state of Illinois. However, state laws do prohibit air guns being carried in the general public. Most airsoft guns contain at least a 6mm orange tip which indentifies it as being non-lethal. Airsoft guns can be legally used in or on your property. The State of Illinois also prohibits the distribution or shipping of airsoft guns as part of the law.

'''Airsoft Guns - Laws and Regulations''' The risks and consequences of Airsoft gun use have not gone unnoticed by the law. Airsoft is considered illegal in various countries such as Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, and some countries like Canada prohibit the importation of "replica" Airsoft guns. However, federal importation laws in the United States simply require that all Airsoft guns transported within or imported into the country have barrels with a minimum 6mm wide blaze orange tip, so as to avoid confusion with real firearms. Most retailers of Airsoft guns have disclaimers stating that their Airsoft guns are sold with an orange tip, and that it is illegal to remove the orange tip. Furthermore, individuals in the U.S. must be 18 years of age or older to purchase an Airsoft gun. On the other hand, Airsoft guns are not classified as firearms and are legal for use by all ages under federal law. However, some municipalities and states place restrictions on Airsoft guns. New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, San Francisco, and parts of Michigan outlaw Airsoft guns entirely. Some countries have specific restrictions on Airsoft guns, such as maximum muzzle velocity standards, restrictions on use of trademarks of real firearms, and required use of 'unrealistic' coloring to distinguish Airsoft guns from actual firearms. Finally, states such as California have laws that make it a crime to brandish a look-alike gun in public. Furthermore, individuals using an Airsoft or replica gun to commit crimes will invariably be treated as though they had used an actual firearm.
as long as it has an orange tip but no shooting person without glasses.
no, but it is illegal (and irresponsible) to have one out in public unless it is neon colored or clear. Also, check your city and county laws, because my city does not allow the discharge of airsoft guns within city limits.
no they are perfectly legal. the only laws are don't shoot at pedestrians and they must have an orange tip so they can be distinguished from real guns.
It depends on your national and regional laws. Some permit free acess to the weapons, some ban them completely, and others are a compromise.
Utah has no state laws governing Airsoft guns other than the federal law requiring the orange tip and the lack of any law requiring the tip to remain on the gun. However, the cities of North Ogden, Ogden, Centerville, South Jordan and South Ogden have laws prohibiting ownership of Airsoft guns. These laws have been uniformly enforced by law enforcement after an incident of mistaken identity by a police officer who faced an Airsoft gun without the orange tip and thought it was a real gun. Other cities throughout the country have laws ranging from New York City's requirement that the entire gun be made of bright colored plastic, to the perverse law in some Illinois cities that prohibit the sale or transportation of Airsoft guns but allow the removal of the orange tips.
Yes. All laws state that only REAL guns are not allowed in daycare in California. No regulations are found for airsoft guns. There is only a limit of maximum of 400 fps.
