How was block printing used in the middle ages?
Block printing was done by using individual letter 'stamps' to create pages of writing without any need for handwriting. Block printing is the direct predecessor to the pruinting press, which used printing blocks arranged and then (using a wine press) printing pages at a time. The printing press is the predecessor of modern day printers.

Although ylindrical seals were used to imprint clay tablets in Mesopotamia as early as 3,000 BCE, actual block printing was estimated to officially have been invented sometime before 220 CE. Many believe that the Chinese invented block printing, some historians credit the Koreans for the original invention; the Chinese might have adapted the system from the Koreans.

What is the difference between screen printing and block printing?
Screen printing involves the use of stencils to transfer the design. Paint is applied to a frame stretched silk, or some other fabric that can be used for screen printing, and it penetrates the areas of the screen not blocked by the stencil. With this method you get consistent looking prints that are clean and can be done cheaply. Block printing involves carving a wood print block and pressing it sequentially along the length of the paper. This method creates a stamp that prints differently each time.

What is the advantage of digital printing over other printing processes?
The advantage of digital printing is it has a much faster turnarounds, and you can even customized it more. Also since digital printing uses the file from your computer, you are assured that the outcome of printing are all the same. The cost of digital printing cost less too since it uses a little effort and the materials used are not that expensive.

What is block printing?
== == "Block Printing" or "Woodblock Printing" is a method used to print text, images or patterns on textiles and later paper. This method was widely used throughout East Asia and originating in China in antiquity. How it worked: Patterns and letters were carved into wooden blocks, so that the letter or pattern is chiseled and protrudes so to speak from the wooden block. These blocks are then coated with Ink, and brought pressed firmly and evenly onto the paper or cloth. The content would print backwards (mirror-image).
