The original members, responsible for recording the first two albums on Parrot Records in 1970 (FRIJID PINK and DEFROSTED) were Tom Beaudry (bass), Kelly Green (vocals), Rich Stevers (drums) and Gary Thompson (guitar). The House of The Rising Sun was originally recorded in 1933 by Tom Ashley and Gwen Foster, though it's much older than that. Answer No. http://www.last.fm/music/Frijid+Pink/_/House+of+the+Rising+Sun "House of the Rising Sun" has been recorded by many artists, but probably the most famous version is from 1967, by English band "The Animals", sung by Eric Burdon. I do not believe it was ever recorded by Pink Floyd.
There is no "Pink" in the band Pink Floyd. The original leader of Pink Floyd (Syd Barrett) named the band after Pink Anderson and Floyd Council- two blues musicians from Georgia. (In 1965 when they first "formed" as a group, they thought that they were going to be a blues band.) However the band does tease us with this issue by asking this very question on the Wish You Were Here album Have A Cigar sung by Roy Harper. Roger Waters said it's this very question many people have asked over the years that him to write in that lyric "Which One Is Pink"?
