Begin by removing the wiring from the 2002 Chevy Cavalier neutral safety switch. Remove the neutral safety switch retaining screws. Reverse the process to install your new neutral safety switch.
The neutral safety switch, on your 1993 Chevy Cavalier, is located beneath the shifting column. The switch can be accessed by removing the shifting boot.
Look at lower end of the shifter (may have to remove trim for access)
Not for an extended distance and make sure the vehicle is in neutral. Even better if the car will run first start it and then tow in neutral. This will save the transmission.
under sterring wheel right next to clutch by floor board
Yes, this is possible.
Yes, it is very possible.
Any color is possible.
yes, the shift linkage has a switch to only allow the car to start in either park, or neutral. All automatic transmissions have a neutral safety switch. It is misadjusted or defective.
A car without a reverse or neutral gear needs a transmission overhaul. It is possibly due to improper fluid levels, or broken gears inside the transmission itself.
The ultrapure water is neutral; but the absorption of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is very possible.
it is under the dash at the top of the clutch pedal.it is the same as the clutch start switch
All automatic cars have one. A 97 is probably on the transmission where the linkage connects.
There is normally no voltage on the neutral line because the neutral line is grounded. However, and this is always important, do not assume that neutral is grounded, nor that there is not an elevated voltage on neutral or ground due to a possible ground fault.
Yes it is possible to do that.
Put your Chevy Cavalier in neutral and then crank it once without starting the car. This will turn on the electrical system and you need to allow it to sit like that for several minutes for everything to reset itself.
It is located on top of the transmission where the shift cable attaches to the transmission.
it is under the dash at the top of the clutch pedalIn an automatic it is attached by bolts on top of the transmission under the hood
ur nutrial safety switch is bad
It is possible to do this in any vehicle with a manual gearbox, and is perfectly normal. For safety reasons it might not be recommended as the driver is no longer able to accelerate, but it is normal and should do no damage.
To avoid possible current loop through multiple neutral points
You have some serious wiring problems, for sure. My first guess is that your grounding conductor and neutral are touching somewhere and your ground is acting as the neutral when the neutral is disconnected. The light coming on when the hair dryer is used is another mystery. You need to hire a competent electrician to trouble shoot these problems.
u got problems take it to a mechanic
Yes, by towing with the front wheels off the ground. Or by keeping it under 55 with the transmission in neutral.
