well some breeds were used for emergencey services like the dalmation was help with the fire engines and German shepards are used in police investagations but often a springer spaneil or a labrador are used as sniffer dogs to snif out drugs things like that. but of course house dogs like they say are a mans best friend and are very friendly. they are useful like the labadores are guide dogs and dogs are very good for exersise because they need 2 walks a day but i have a dog myself and basically they are a joy to have.
