Comiskey Park or White Sox Park on Chicago's South Side was built in 1910 and when it was demolished after the 1990 season in favor of "new Comiskey Park", now U.S. Cellular Field it was the OLDEST baseball stadium in the world (once known as the 'Baseball Palace of the World')

Answer

Fenway Park was opened in 1912 and Wrigley Field opened in 1914 although the Cubs first year at Wrigley was 1916.

Sold at the ballparks they were very common throughout the 1950's, and are still around today. This is one of the first souvenirs kids get when they go to their first Major league game, and for Decades they also Played with them., making the remaining balls in excellent condition collectible.

Rule 1.04 of the Official Rules states that "It is desirable that the line from home base through the pitchers plate to second base shall run East-Northeast." If all ballparks adhered to this suggestion, then there would be no home plate that faces north. However, one can tell from the variation in shadows between parks in say, Boston, Milwaukee, and San Francisco, that there are definite variations in the placement of the field. It would take a survey of the 30 major league ballparks to determine if any of them face north.
