I agree with this answer. I've been in IT for about 20 years. There are some really good companies that have come along with industry certifications in this specific field. The most affordable one is Globalbenchmark Inc (www.globalbench.com). If you have company sponsorship, you should also consider HDI (thinkhdi.com). Both seem to be really good. If you're applying for a job I would DEFINITELY recommend you get one from one of these places.
