Females lay nits and are usually larger than males. To live, lice must feed on blood. If the louse falls off a person, it dies within 1-2 days.

crabs are tiny creatures that live in your pubic hair - they are also called pubic lice. they make you itch. the itching is caused by them piercing your skin and sucking out your blood. if you have them, shaving the pubic hair (all over) isn't enough. you need an anti lice shampoo. ask at the pharmacist.
