Having a drinking problem doesn't mean that you are alcoholic or that you have to abstain from alcohol. Most, people who experience problems from drinking choose to reduce their consumption to moderate levels rather than to abstain. You might consult with your doctor for advice.

well me personally I had an Alcoholism problem thanks to my god and my Meetings I was able to know that I had the problem of alcoholism the signs your only gonna be able to see them for yourself once you sober up for couple of days other then that everybody around you can see you have a problem but you. and the signs are when you notice that you can't even get up without having to have a dring on your hand when your driving and drinking when u rather be on the couch watching tv and drinking instead of playing with your kids(if you have any) pretty much when whenever you do something and you can't do it without having a drink first and when you can't go tru out your day without having way to many drinks those are the signs but again your unable to see that so just listen to your family members and do something about it I did it so it is possible! There are many signs that could be unique to the individual (missing work due to hangovers, etc..). But in my opinion, the biggest sign of an alcohol problem is the inability to stop drinking despite ones desire and/or the negative consequences of it.
