Best Answer

they're all fairly closely related,

they're all vertebrates and are cold blooded.

Since it went fish -> amphibian -> reptile (on the evolutionary tree)

it follows that most of the gross anatomy is related, if not identical.

The big difference between them is the respiratory and reproductive systems.

THEY also have mucous not slime covering their bodies
Fish are not amphibians, they live on water.
Hmmm... They live in water (amphibians do at the beginning of their lives) and they lay eggs
Amphibians are tetrapods and have legs, no scales on the body and are usually able to live on land, in contrary with fish.
They both are living.
Amphibians and fish both need water in order to live and carry out their niche. Both lay eggs as well.
There are several similarities between fish and amphibians. Both animals are vertebrates. They are also both ectothermic. Both are born in water and hatched from eggs.
They have gills and they are vertebrates.

  • Both amphibians and fish are vertebrates.
  • Amphibians are fish are both cold blooded.
  • Both are born in the water, or rather, hatched from eggs.
  • When young, both breathe using gills.
  • Both undergo metamorphosis as they develop.

THE # THINGS ARE:
  • both can swim.
  • both have gills.(usually)
  • both are vertabrates(have a backbone).
