Should be the infinity gold speakers 6". That's what is presently in mine and a few of my friends who own the jeep grand Cherokee.

The 1999 Pontiac Grand Am speakers can be removed by removing the speaker cover. The speaker cover is held in place with two screws. Remove the speaker retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness from the back of the speaker.

If they are both the same engine (such as 3.3), then yes. You can check with your local auto parts store to find out if the same starter was used for different engine sizes, but most often they are different.
if you go to crutchfield.com and you put in your specs of your car or truck, they will give you all the speaker sizes and even sell you speakers with the factory specs and they throw in connection adapters for free. but the rear cealing speakers size is 4x10
As far as the watts go i am not for sure. As for the diameter of the speakers they are 5 1/4" or 5.25"
Crutchfield shows the DOOR speakers to be 5 1/4" and the REAR speakers to be 6" X 8."

Yep. Any size/shape of speaker will work in any vehicle, as long as you can find somewhere to mount them. :)
Look inside the driver side door jam is should tell you tire sizes. If you cannot find it, refer to your owners manual.
