What are the symptoms for thyroid cancer?

Hypothyroidism: brittle coarse hair, loss of the lateral third of the eyebrow, eyelid lag (i think), low energy, mimics depression, weight gain,

Sometimes a person becomes aware of a lump on their neck near the thyroid gland, which usually moves when they swallow. Sometimes the lump might cause pressure or create difficulty in swallowing. Other times a lump is found out about through other means like a routine physical exam, or imaging done of the neck. Talk to your doctor if you notice any abnormal lumps on your neck.

When the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough thyroid hormones it becomes underactive or hypothyroid. These symptoms can include weight gain, fluid retention, fatigue, drowsiness, dry hair, constipation, sore muscles, irregular menstrual cycles, frequent miscarriages.

When the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormones it becomes overactive or hyperthyroid. These symptoms can include fast heart rate, being anxious, weight loss, hair loss, increased sensitivity to temperatures, frequent bowel movements, increased miscarriages.

However, as the cancer develops, symptoms can include a lump or nodule in the front of the neck, hoarseness or difficulty speaking, swollen lymph nodes, difficulty swallowing or breathing, and pain in the throat or neck."

The symptoms of a thyroid nodule can be unexplained sudden loss of weight and of appetite. The patient will also feel generally very unwell. It is a good idea to go to the doctor.
