Macs are made by Apple and run on Mac OS X. PCs are made by Microsoft and run on Windows. Also, Macs are more expensive and get less viruses than PCs because more people target PCs (many more people use PCs). Finally, Macs tend to have a higher quality than PCs, but it depends on what PC you are getting. This should help, too: http://www.differencebetween.net/technology/difference-between-pc-and-mac/. I hope I helped!
There is very little difference between a modern Macintosh and a so-called "PC." They use the same processors, memory, and drives; the same expansion slots, the same input ports, etc... The key differences are:
It really depends what Mac and PC you are comparing each other to. Let's say we are talking about an iMac and a Dell Desktop.
Hardware: The iMac is an all-in-one, meaning the "guts" of the computer are completely encased in the monitor space. This means that the amount of wires you need is much less. iMacs nowadays only need one wire for the whole computer.
A Dell desktop which isn't an all-in-one, has a separate computer tower and monitor, possibly separate speakers aswell. This allows you to change things around, but means wires are common. You will need a wire to connect the monitor to the mains, the PC tower to the mains, 2 wires to connect the monitor to the PC tower and wires to connect the speakers to the PC tower.
The iMac is much simpler design than any PC, with all the ports on the back, and the diskdrive on the side. A PC will have all the ports on the front, and on the back, the fan and all the wires from the back.
The main difference separating a Mac and PC is the Operating System though. Mac uses Mac OS X and PC usually uses Windows.
Macs are personal and pro desktop or laptop computers made by Apple Inc. running operating systems Mac OS X (you can run also Windows) laptops: -MacBook - the basic mac laptop -MacBook Pro - the pro laptop -MacBook Air - the world's thinnest laptop desktops: -Mac mini - the smallest desktop I've ever seen -iMac - all in one desktop (buid in screen) -Mac Pro - pro desktop mp3 players: -iPod shuffle - very small 1GB,2GB -iPod nano - music/photo/video player, 4GB, 8GB -iPod classic - music/photo/video player 80GB/160GB -iPod touch - iPhone like music/photo/video/internet/mail/YouTube/etc. player 8GB/16GB/32GB phones: - iPhone 8GB/16GB other products: -see apple.com for more info visit Apple.com
PC stands for personal computer. A Mac is a personal computer. Many people use the term PC to refer to a personal computer that runs the Windows operating system. A Mac can run the Windows operating system if needed but most people find the Mac's Mac OS X to be better. As Apple create the computer, the operating system and a range of applications that come with a Mac they can offer a well designed and tightly integrated product which is different to the box of bits that you get with a cheaper PC.
Mac's and PC's are both similar machines. Your average Mac is designed for more authoring purposes such as photo editing, video editing etc.
Ones prettier (mac), ones not (windows)
Apple has many different and diverse products compared to PC. There is the ipod, ipad, iphone and of course Mac computers. Mac's are also better than pc's for business.
Put iTunes on the PC. Use the same iTunes account that is on the Mac.
no, you can covert info from a mac to a pc, but not a pc to a mac
If you MAC is old then it uses a different motherboard than a PC. These days MAC also uses intel processors so in theory you can use the same motherboard as PC but there may be problems in adding the peripherals like MAC's keyboard and mouse to the PC motherboard and vice-versa. It all depends upon what you have got.
A Mac is a Personal Computer (PC).
Everything. I have both Mac and PC and my mac is far better and cheaper than the PC.
A Mac is a PC because PC stands for Personal Computer, not the 'PC' that apple targets their ads at.
Mac
Technically, PC means personal computer, so yeah, a mac is a PC. However, usually, PC refers to a windows computer. So mac vs. pc means Apple computer vs. Windows computer.
yes
PC in not better than Mac
