I need to set the valve timing on a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT SOHC non-turbo charged. Can you send picture please
no
Depends on the year and model of the engine. Each are different.
It has a timing belt.
Refer to your owner's manual for the right amount.
YES.

6G72. Note it as a TT or twin turbo, because there is also a N/A model.
Mitsubishi Model A was created in 1917.
The timing depends on model and year. Try 8 degrees BTDC. It should run fine at that setting.
this site lists how many of each 3000GT was built by year and model. http://www.daveblack.net/asp/3SiSpecs.asp 1999 total production for the last year this car was made = 526 cars. 289 SOHC 192 DOHC 45 DOHC Twin Turbo
or you could just change your high compresion pistons to low compresion ones and buy a t5 turbo
Mitsubishi eclise timing marksyou are going to have fun with that one, on average you have to run the mark around 3 times when timing it to make sure it stil lines up after setting a Mitsubishi motor, but you should check the public library where you are, and look in reference section on automotive repairs/Mitsubishi motors.......or go to www.Mitsubishi.com and find a service tech link for the dealers......they might have a manual you can buy from them, but most publishers don't carry Mitsubishi.....books.... other than that check the motor specs out in hte books for DODGE since they use mostly Mitsubishi motors anymore....cant remember which model but one of the dodge cars in 1995 used the same motors in it as the eclipse but didnt produce quite the same torque
The year, model and standard or automatic transmission info would help.
It comes stock with a 222 horsepower. Most people believe it had the same engine as all of the dodge stealth's produced but they are wrong. The dodge stealth had 160 horsepower SOHC in their base model and the 3000GT had a 222 horsepower DOHC in their base model. However, in 1997 they started to make SOHC 3000GT's and then they had the same horspower base models.
In my '97 Eclipse GST (the convertible model of your car), the Crankshaft Position Sensor, or Crankshaft Angle Sensor, is located behind the crankshaft pulley. To get to it, the Mitsubishi shop manual lists the removal of the timing belt. Not a fun job. Since the timing belt will be removed anyways, this is a good time to install a new belt. The Mitsubishi dealership also suggested replacing the timing belt tensioner when re-installing the timing belt.
Its a model of car made by Mitsubishi.
Depends on the year of the car. If the 3000gt is a 91-93 model then the oxygen sensor should be right before the catalytic converter sticking off of the exhaust pipe. If it is a 94-99 model then there will be one before the catalytic converter and one right after it as well.
i need help setting the time on a Mazda 626 2.0 model 1995 which marks and what to do
The 1994 3000GT came either as AWD or FWD for the North American market, everywhere else the only drivetrain configuration offered was AWD. Fwd models did not get turbocharged engines, and for the model year 1994 all trim levels of the FWD model had a 220/222hp dohc v6. AWD models all got the 3.0L twin turbo engine, except for the Asian market which in addition got an N/A awd model with an optional automatic transmission.
This is the big one you don't want to have break, because then you are really screwed. This is something you definitely want to change according to the mileage suggested by mitsubishi. The outlanders are recommended at 60k, so it really depends on what model you have.
Make and model please 1992 Mitsubishi diamante
The newest 2014 model of the Mitsubishi Fuso is approximately $65,000. A 2000 model Mitsubishi Fuso costs approximately $9,000 depending on the condition of the vehicle.
3000GT Engine model is 6G72. Number is stamped on front side on to edge of cylinder block. Also the engine code can be found on the Vehicle information code plate riveted to the bulkhead of the engine compartment. A wealth of information for 3000 GT owners and a forum can be found at the Team3s web site. Team3s is invaluable to 3000GT owners. Check it out.
