Haynes says that the torque specs for the rocker arms is 19 ft/lbs, and is the same for both the 2.5 I-4 and the 4.0 I-6.

if you unplug the knock sensor and run it and it clears up then change the knock sensor if it doesn't check cam caps for torque specs and lifters if it set up for awhile

the torque specs for valve covers on the 3.0 SOHC is 7ft/lb make sure to clean the oil and old gasket material off well and put the RTV in the corners. take great care not to roll the gasket on the rear valve cover!

Uneven torque specs on the flexplate bolting to the crank, same with TC, When does it break? Right when you start it? RPM's?

It could either be loose bolts on your bell housing or anything down there. or it could be your torque converter and it could need to be replaced. i actually have to take the torque converter out of my 1992 jeep Cherokee Laredo because my block cracked so I'm selling it for parts. and it is a pain in the neck but much worth saving the money. to get the instructions on that i googled how to replace a torque converter and i found this one:http://neptune.spacebears.com/cars/stories/torqconv.HTMLit isn't for a jeep Cherokee but other sites i looked at say it is pretty much the same in every rig. maybe just different sized bolts and stuff.

The 1992 Chrysler 3.0 liter engine cylinder head bolt torque specification is 120 pounds. The head bolts should be torqued in 40 pound intervals.
