What types of food people in polar regions eat?
Mostly fish, although in polar regions that are short of the Poles themselves (i.e. Lapland, the far North of Russia etc.) they also eat reindeer meat. Vegetables are hard to grow in polar areas, but there are some hardy types of root crop and also wild berries that can be cultivated. Seals are not usually eaten because of their high quantity of blubber, and whales are a protected species, as are Polar bears, so it is illegal under international law to catch these.
