We can reduce friction by putting oil , banana wrappers, lubricants, air bags (in some machines, lubricants and such things are not allowed to use, there we use air bags in between two object), polishing, rollers or ball bearings, usings fluids of low velocity, streamline structure in cars, planes, etc., increasing the temperature, wetting the surface, removing impurities, super cavitation (if under water), etc.....

You can polish the surfaces. That will reduce the friction.
Have a smoother surface, or have lubricant that can cover all bumps.
lubricate them
You could lubricate them or smooth them.

A lubricant is anything that reduces friction between two objects. Examples of lubricant are oil, soap, water, wax etc.

When an object is at rest on a particular surface, the frictional force keeping it from sliding in any given direction is known as static friction; the magnitude of this force is always less than or equal to the product of those surfaces' static friction coefficient and the component of the gravitational force (weight) of the object perpendicular to the plane of the surface, the latter of which is equal to the normal force that is exerted by the intermolecular bonds in the surface material, upward and perpendicular to the plane of the surface itself. (In other words, Fs ≤ µsFn, where Fs=force of static friction, µs=static friction coefficient, Fn=normal force of surface upon object.)
Add oil
the answer is have a smother surface to prevent bumps. this will stop the car from producing friction

We can decrease friction by applying lubricant between two surfaces or by smoothening the two surfaces.
Lubrication, reduce pressure on the surfaces, generally introduce separation between the surfaces.

Less pressure / weight.

Or a different material. F.ex. use som liquid to grease the two elements and lessen friction.

How can friction be reduced between two surfaces?

A lubricant such as oil, grease, graphite powder or PTFE can reduce the friction between two surfaces. Or using metal balls to space them and reduce the contact surface area as used in ball bearings.

How does oil between machine reduce friction?

The oil helps slick the two surfaces so that the molecular surfaces become easier to slide on with less friction. Julia Blander :P

Friction between two flats surfaces can be divided into two categories what are the two most common kinds of friction?

The friction felt between two flat surfaces can either be sliding friction or static friction.

What is the interaction between two surfaces?

Why do slippery liquids reduce friction?

Friction is phenomenon you see between two rough surfaces. A slippery liquid or lubricants when applied, coats over these rough surfaces creating a layer of the lubricant itself. Liquids like lubricants has very low viscosity, that is the sliding friction between two liquid layers, hence they easily slip over each other. In this way they help reduce friction.

Is Friction reduced between polished surfaces?

when we polish surfaces, the molecules or atoms of surface come closer to each other so there is no space for fiction so it is reduced but not reduced to zerowe cant reduce friction to zeroWhen we polish a rough surface smoothly, the unequalities gets reduced, therefore friction is reduced

How do you decrease friction between two surface?

1. Decrease the Force between the two Surfaces. 2. Lubricate the Surfaces, thus lowering the Coefficient of Friction between them.
