Yes, the northern part of the snow goose's winter range is in southern New Mexico. They also migrate through the state in the spring and fall migration; they may or may not stop during this journey. wood ducks are a very special species which actually require different things. i have owned woodies for years. no comparison to a mallard. in answer to the question- that is where she chose her nest so she wants it there. its fine theres no water nereby. Sure it is.
