1. Mars is considerably farther from the Sun than Earth and therefore receives less sunlight to warm it.
2. It's atmosphere is very thin, so it cannot produce a substantial greenhouse effect and quickly loses the heat it gains in the daytime at night becaus the atmosphere is too thin to hold onto it.
Here are the following two main reasons why the temperature on Mars is significantly colder (with average temperatures of -80 F or -60 C) than the temperature on the Earth:
• Mars is about 1.67 times farther away from the Sun than the Earth. This is too far from the Sun to get as much of the Sun's energy and heat as the Earth does, so as a result, Mars gets lower energy and heat than the Sun and is colder than the Earth.
• The Martian atmosphere is only about 1% as thick as that of the Earth, so it is less capable of trapping heat. This is the reason why at night, when one portion of Mars is turning its back on the Sun, the temperature on that portion of the Martian surface drops to over -150 F (-100 C).
However, on Mars, during a warm summer afternoon near the equator, temperatures can rise to a surprising 64 F (18 C), but during those long cold winter nights at the poles, temperatures can reach about -195 F (-125 C).
It is because the other outer planets are very far from the sun and get almost or no Sun light which makes it very very cold.
This is mainly due to its distance from the sun - its much further away from the heat source than earth. It also has a very thin atmosphere which doesn't help.
It can reach temperatures to -123c to 37c
The cold planets are like mars, neptune, saturn, uranus and jupiter. Some dwaft planets are cold too. The hot ones are like venus, mercury.Planet Earth is the most suitable for humans to live.
These planets are very cold gas giant planets.
Mars is very cold because it is farther from the sun than other planets.
Some planets are cold whereas the others are hot depending with the distances from the sun.
Jupiter is very very cold. Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Pluto are all extremely cold. Mars is also cold. Venus is hot and Mercury is very hot. Earth is the only planet we know of where life exists or is likely to exist
Some planets are hoot, some are cold, and some have moderate temperatures.

We have two such planets in the solar system, which are Mercury and Venus. There are also several other planets that have no oceans but which are cold.
All four of the gas giant planets are very cold. The coldest being the furthest one from the sun, Neptune.

because inner planets are hot and outer planets are cold
yes, some are big and some are small, cold, hot and lots of other differences
No Jupiter cant get very cold. Jupiter is the hottest planet we have. that like asking can Uranus and Neptune get hot and those are the coldest planets
Because they are not planets at all. If we get some really cold water that could stop all the heat from the stars in space and the we used it on stars then it could be and ice cold planet.
