Some examples of models in science can be different kinds of species and materials or even substances. NaCI can be used as a model in a science experiment.

Others:

Ball-and-rod representations of molecules.

Anatomical models, often to scale.

Mathematical models, in which the effects of changing the variables by known increments can be determined. The power of even relatively modest modern computers allow enormously complex scientific and engineering numerical models to be run with fair confidence in the results.

Preface: Not knowing for what purpose or what age makes this a bit tough but here we go

Young: Profiles are a lot of fun to make and very visual. Just get a see-thru container and use the elements of the ground outside or even more simply, shades of sand to represent the layers of the earth. You can how far you would like to zoom in (ie: crust to mantle or grass to rock/clay). Make sure you plan ahead to figure out what layer is going to go in first, because the first thing that goes in, is the lowest level of your piece. On the opposite hand, the grass or top must go in last. If you do a land one (as opposed to a water profile[very fun too]) you basically will be able to see what your standing on from a side view.

Older: I was also thinking about maybe some sort of ground water polution lab. Make a profile (side viewable landscape) in a see-thru container and add the elements you want to each layer. Such as grass on top, then dirt below, then some harder dirt maybe, clay, then maybe a rockier layer with some water in it, so on, or stop there. Then add some oil (due to the obvious/drastic change in clear water to black) or other polutant to the top and simply record observations, note effects, possibly create solutions if the effects are adverse, science science ramble ramble.

You could make the profile more realistic with even older learners using a tilt and possibly a town section high up in the profile and make the layered landscapes quite real with little sim roads and buildings with grabage, polutants, fabrics, man-made materials (ex:ground plastic), etc. This would provide more variables to change the outcome of a simple drop of oil straight onto grass and straight to the ground water, which doesnt exactly happen all the time; It generally has more human elements involved.

Hope this helps, have fun either way. Go science!

Will you give a working model for science exhibition?

There are a number of different types of working models that you could use for a science exhibition. You could demonstrate the flow of water in the water cycle for example by setting up a fountain system.
