Computers, although very beneficial to our society, have brought about a technological revolution in which personal communication is not commonly used. Because of the internet, we tend to email, Facebook message, or Skype our friends or colleagues, rather than meet up in person. Also, students do not frequently utilize their handwriting abilities because of the convenience of word processing program. This has caused a high percentage of students to have what we call "chicken scratch", and very few choose to improve their writing because of the more accessible typing programs on computers.
However, I do not believe that computers have been a generally bad thing for our generation. There are hundreds of beneficial things computers have brought, and I am thankful for their availability.
