Previously to My Chemical Romance (please note it is 'my'not 'your') rhythm guitarist Frank Iero was in numerous bands, the most well-known of these being Pencey Prep, who released one album before disbanding. One of his side-projects to MCR, LeATHERMOUTH, has a member of Pencey Prep in, John McGuire, often referred to as Hambone, and also a touring member of MCR, James Dewees. Another band Frank was in before joining MCR was I Am A Graveyard.

∙ 12y agoBefore joining My Chemical Romance he served as frontman for the punk band Pencey Prep. The band released an album before disbanding. After his band broke up, Frank played in several bands, including I Am A Graveyard, Hybrid, Sector 12, and American Nightmare before being offered the slot of rhythm guitar in My Chemical Romance. Iero is also the frontman of hardcore punk quintet Leathermouth. He is involved in a tribute band to The Cure named The Love Cats, after the song of the same name, and played bass with Reggie And The Full Effect
