Not taking Rh Factor into consideration, O is the universal donor. All blood types can receive type O. For information, AB is the universal recipient. They can take any blood type. Remember, this excludes the Rh Factor.

Blood type O is often called the universal donor. This means that they can give their blood to anyone, but they can only receive blood from another O person.

The other side of the equation is people with AB. They are the universal recipients. They can receive any type of blood, but can only donate to another AB person.

The O blood type is known as the universal donor, but there is one catch the Rh factor, people who are O - (people who don't have the Rh factor) can donate to anyone, but if the person if O+, then they can donate to anyone who is Rh +, so yes there could be a problem depending on the Rh factor.
