In "Flowers for Algernon," Charlie destroys the "History of the Brain," a medical book, out of frustration. He is struggling with his intellectual growth and feeling overwhelmed by his inability to truly understand the complex subject matter in the book.
It is a great book. It was also made into a move called "Charly" that starred Cliff Robertson. The movie stayed true to the book and was a great movie. Highly recommended.
