For the answer to this question, look in your owner's manual. Don't have one then get one. You need an owner's manual for the maintenance schedule and for questions just like this. Sources for a manual are: Dealer, Salvage Yard, E-Bay, and many on-line sites. Here is one site. http://www.samarins.com/maintenance/manual.html USE ATF +4 but dont use Dexron or Mercon. Those will slowly damage the trans. Many trans shops don't follow the factory recommendations, but the owner ends up thinking dodge trannies are bad. Get it from the dealer. It isn't all that expensive.

ONLY use ATF+4 fluid in all Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep automatics. It is a very specific type of fluid. Yes it is a little bit pricy, but would you rather spend 5 bucks a quart now or 2k for a new trans?
