Most trombones don't have valves and just have a slide to change the length of the tubing that the air travels through. A bugle is another brass instrument that does not have valves. All changes in pitch are made by altering the player's embouchure on the bugle.

Most F horns have four valves (three act the same as on other brass instruments, with a fourth as a trigger to transpose). Then piccolo trumpets, as well as some euphoniums and tubas have a fourth valve. Bugles and slide trombones don't have any valves.

The ordinary trombone does not have any valves. It uses the slide to vary the tone. However, it may not be the oldest of the brasses.

That would be a trombone, because most trombones only has a slide.

The French horn also, because it has keys, not valves.
