Dwarf hamsters will eat almost anything although sometimes you will need to take care. hamsters love cheese, sunflower seeds and cucumber. in my experience, the dislike hamsters foods from pets shops and other shops. be carefull when you fed them fresh foods and if their bottom seems wet, they may have diarea.

According to my exotic vet you should feed them the block or pellet food which is a completely balanced diet for them. They can eat the seed hamster food but they will pick out their favorites and not get a balanced diet with the proper minerals and vitamins, etc. I use the seed food as a treat only in my russian dwarfs playpen and keep the block/pellet food in her cage. Also, it's good to give them some fresh vegetables each day along with some timothy hay so that they get some fiber in their diet also.

They can eat regular hamster food and small portions of fruit like banana and apple. They can not eat acidic fruit. It will upset their stomach.

My Russian dwarf chews on apple wood. When he's not chewing that, he's chewing his wooden hut. These things you can find in a pet store.
