added to much oil
If you added too much oil that can and will cause engine wear and damage. If you are loosing Oil it is either being burnt, or it is leaking. If it is burning oil it is normally caused by worn piston rings.
Several things can cause an engine to burn oil, and all of them are pretty normal in an engine with lots of miles. Oil control rings are often a problem. They are on the piston and while they can be replaced, you'd be better off buying a new engine. Other things that can cause an engine to burn oil are valve seals (common) and valve guides (uncommon). If you have a high mileage engine, I wouldn't worry unless you have a big cloud of black smoke coming out the exhaust. Best thing you can do is just check the oil often.
Adding too much oil will cause your engine to burn off the excessive oil which causes a lot of carbon buildup in your engine and a lot of blue smoke out your tailpipe. If the oil level is high enough, it can contact the crankshaft and foam up. If the oil foams it can damage the engine.
you will blow out the seals and that is not good to much oil is just as bad as not enough the crank could also beat the oil to a froth and cause oil starvation to the engine the bearings could burn up pdq
No, but burning oil will give you bad spark plugs.
Too much oil in your car will not cause it to throw a rod. Too much oil in the engine will create a higher than normal engine pressure and can cause the engine seals to fail.
Yes.
No, but a lot more oil can cause other damage.
what might cause the engine on a 2000 Isuzu rodeo to burn oil 1/2 quart of oil every 300 miles
Too much oil in an automotive engine can cause high oil pressure. High oil pressure could cause blown seals and gaskets allowing oil to leak out.
On the outside? nota lot. it will heat up and probibly burn off in hot areas of your engine and cause a little smoking in your engin bay. but the rist will mosty drip off, how much oil was it?
too much oil in the engine will cause of airation and will create too much pressure to your engine and will damage the headgasket.
Too much oil will damage your engine as not enoght oil too will damage your engine. for example; To much oil will burn your oil rims inside the engine causing your motor to start smoking thru the exhaust system. Exc. Not enough oil will burn your bearings inside the engine causing your motor to start knocking and make noises. exc.
