What are the white moon shape on nails?
Your nails grow out from something called the germinal matrix. The matrix is located right behind the cuticle area, and a portion of the matrix can be seen at the base of the nail hence the white moon shape. The correct term for the small, white, half moon shape at the base of your fingernails is called the lunulae.

Why do humans get white cloud-like things on your nails?
Are the white spots on fingernails sign of zinc deficiency shaped like dots crescents or overall white cloudy appearance?
Many different things can cause the spots, but it is usually nothing to worry about. I have heard that you get a white mark if your nails is hit very hard in that spot, other rumors say that you get a white spot on your nails for everyday you eat unhealthily. Does anyone know for sure what they are caused by?

What are your toenails and finger nail made out of?
Your toenails and fingernails protect the tissues of your toes and fingers. They are made up of layers of a hardened protein called keratin, which is also in your hair and skin. Your nails' health can be a clue to your overall health. Healthy nails are usually smooth and consistent in color. Specific types of nail discoloration and changes in growth rate can signal various lung, heart, kidney and liver diseases, as well as diabetes and anemia. White spots and vertical ridges are harmless. Nail problems that sometimes require treatment include bacterial and fungal infections, ingrown nails, tumors and warts. Keeping nails clean, dry and trimmed can help you avoid some problems. Do not remove the cuticle, which can cause infection.

Why are there white lines on your teeth?
The white lines are most likely resulting from a Zinc deficiency. It is the same as the white lines you get on your finger nails. Too much calcium in your diet can cause improper absorption of zinc and iron. Vitamin D also plays a role in this so make sure you're getting enough of that. If this is a serious problem for a good amount of your teeth/nails I suggest contacting a dietitian or your doctor.
